At the end of may, we took a boat ride down the West Pearl River
outside of New Orleans with Thomas’s Grand-Dad. (Thanks bunches Mr. Bill!)
These waters are unlikely to be affected by the Gulf Oil Spill.
Unfortunately, other areas and many people of Louisiana
are already greatly affected by the mess in the Gulf,
including friends in the seafood business and those who work offshore.
After looking at all my pictures,
please take a moment to visit the site I’ve linked to below.
It’s a way you can help the people who would otherwise fall
through the cracks in this environmental disaster.
If you’ve heard of the folks selling gulf oil for $1000, $100 or even $25 a vial,
then you’ve heard of Horizonrelief.org.
This is an organization founded by a high school friend of mine
during the aftermath of the Gulf Oil Spill.
In this crazy world we live in,
I’ve already seen stars and musicians raising money to clean up the Gulf,
but I haven’t heard of anyone else raising money to help people.
Please check out Horizonrelief.org and see how you can help.
Salinda, great pictures and thanks for the link. I'm glad to know there is a way to help.
Great pictures! Love the one of my dad.
