Spring Break!
Finally! We thought it might never get here! And of course, on this Saturday, the first day of Spring Break, they were up at 6:15. Seriously?!?!?!?!?
We’ve got grand plans for the week. Grandpa is coming to help my son built planters for more strawberries. My daughter has listed out a mess of recipes to try (most are from her children’s Paula Dean cookbook). We’ve got a few birthday gifts to make. And then there are those pesky income taxes. Blah.
My favorite part about this week: I don’t have to chauffeur anyone to any place! Hooray! That means a little extra time in front of my sewing machine. And extra time in front of the machine means new designs. Do you have a custom design you’ve been looking for?

We are two full days into spring–and everything here is covered in bright yellow pine pollen! But that’s not stopping us. Our garden is in full bloom. Our little tiny tomato plants are getting bigger everyday. We’re watching our strawberries closely so we can beat the squirrels to them. And–my most exciting moment of our spring so far–we enjoyed our first home-grown salad last night with dinner! Yummy lettuces, spinach and swiss chard!
I’m adding new items to the shop everyday! My favorite of the day is the purple gingham jumper. You can choose the monogram style you’d like on it.
