I love getting packages in the mail.
Love. Love. Love.

Packages from f ar, far away
delivered by hand!
Our sweet friends moved to England about 9 months ago and surprised us with a visit yesterday.
We were so honored to be on their “people we have to see” list.
The kids swam for several hours.
We drank coffee and talked.
And talked.
And talked.
They brought us some wonderful treats—and fabric!
Mim knows I love my fabric! She brought me 1/2 meter of this super cute canvas from Cath Kidston .
What to make? What to make?
Two tubes of glitter icing leads to oodles of creativity.
We had a wet afternoon to fill, so I baked sugar cookies and let my 2 and a friend have at them with the icing.
Don’t these look yummy!
I use Paula Deen’s Sugar Cookie recipe .
It rained!
Two days in a row!
(We haven’t seen rain in weeks and weeks and weeks.)
Hooray!
But, rain and thunderstorms = no pool time.
No pool time = stir crazy kids.
Thankfully, I’d picked up two of these kits the other day.
And that is how a 6-year-old gardens while indoors!
Gussy Sews is hosting an Inspiration Workshop!
The word of the week:
Handmade .
That pretty much sums up my home! Let’s take a look, shall we?
and then there are Mom’s quilts, creations by my little artists, and canned goodies.
I’ve surrounded myself with Handmade love.
That makes inspiration very easy-to-come-by.
What shall I make with my garden goodies?
Pasta Primavera, Spaghetti Sauce, Zucchini Bread…
Saturday morning, we decided to take a walk.
Up Pinnacle Mountain in Little Rock.
On the trip we saw these guys,
and these guys,
and this guy (Hi Grandpa!)
The view from the top was incredible.
