Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Here are the goodies I whipped up for my 2 to wear today:
The Big Girl has to wear a uniform, so we had to be creative with her green today. This is just a fabric-covered button attached to a ponytail holder.

And, here’s the rest of that 1/2 yard of fabric. This is another version of the boxers from Simplicity 9958. I promise I did press these as I went, you’re just seeing them at the end of the day!

The Source of My Creativity

When I’m overwhelmed, I just want to sew, to bead, to glitter and glue, to create. Yesterday, while studying the sanctity of life, I discovered why —I’m designed to create! More accurately, I’m formed in the image of God, the Ultimate Creator of Heaven and Earth.

Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer,

And He who formed you from the womb:

“I am the Lord who, makes all things,

Who stretches out the heavens all alone,

Who spreads abroad the earth by Myself.”

Isaiah 44:24

Wow!

So, since my creativity is from God, shouldn’t I be certain that my work is honoring to Him?

A cute apron and a give-away

The Apron:

This apron is based on one I found in A is for Apron by Nathalie Mornu. This is a cute book full of inspiration. I’ll review it for you soon. But, for now, you can enjoy another picture.

The Give-Away: This one is hosted by my Aunt Kathy in honor of her 1000th reader. You have until Friday the 20th to sign up. You can see some of her beautiful quilting at her blog. Head on over there and check her out.

Just for Dad…

Since life has been busy, I haven’t updated my blog lately. Now, Dad’s complaining that he’s tired of looking at the LM in his boxers. So…

here you go Dad! I’ve updated my blog just for you! (And I’m wasting my 200th post on this!)
