Have you discovered Etsy? I have, and I like it.
Etsy.com regards itself as “your place to buy and sell all things handmade.” As a mom who would like to make a few extra dollars selling custom-made children’s clothes, this sounds like a perfect fit. Plus, if I had a few extra shopping dollars, I have found the place to spend them.
Setting up an Etsy.com store was easy. Since I already had a PayPal account (who doesn’t), lots of pictures of my products, and a very strong desire to sell something, I gave it a shot. It takes about 5 steps and about 10 minutes per listing.
Another thing I love, I don’t spend most of profit trying to advertise. Taken directly from their site: “Sign up – free, your own shop – free, listing an item – 20 cents, selling – 3.5% fee. That’s it. All listings include up to 5 images. Listings stay up for 4 months.”
