Oh boy! The after-Christmas, pre-Spring declutter urge is kicking in. Big time. To the point that I’m overwhelmed! Not knowing what else to do, I started at the top. Well, the front. The front door!
A welcoming front entry really isn’t hard—a wreath, a rug, a plant. Boom. You’re done. So here are the 6 quick steps I took to help my front door make a great first impression:
1. Knock down the cobwebs and sweep away the leaves.
2. Find a great new door mat. Around 12 bucks at the local Target. Done!
3. Numbers. I love them. I found mine here.
4. Plants! I moved my lemon tree up on the step and refreshed my hanging basket.
5. A wreath. Easy, right? Um, not so much…it is winter in Louisiana (which means that it’s really not cold, and it’s also Mardi Gras and Valentines too!) What’s a girl to do?

I’ll admit, I still haven’t decided on a wreath. Instead, our front door is sporting a big, bight turquoise B!
6. Add a bit of personality! (Read: Saints flag! And garden gnomes!)
So…what wreath is gracing your door right now?
